My name is Jhabi Lal Bhushal. I have been working in the Pharmacy department at UMHT for the past 10 years. On May 9th, when I returned to my home after work, I found that my wife had developed some symptoms of COVID 19. The next day, after consulting with my department in-charge, it was suggested that I stay home for a while. After having a swab test, my wife, our two children and all tested positive for COVID 19.
Our time of home isolation was memorable. I was loved and cared for by my colleagues and friends from the community. They helped me by bringing fruit, vegetables and meat to us. The hospital not only granted me 10 days leave with pay, but doctors called me and asked about my health. We were fortunate to have only mild cases of the corona virus.
I am grateful to the hospital management team, my colleagues and my community for their kind support during our difficult days.
